If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.
Most children start St. Patrick’s School at the age of 3-4 years in the Nursery. Some join the school at the age of 4 -5 years in the Reception class and others join older classes as places become available. Children in the Nursery and Reception classes start school in September. Children admitted to the Nursery who are not yet 3 years old in September start after their third birthday. We put children’s names on the waiting list for both the Nursery and main school from the age of 2 years. However, length of time on the waiting list does not take priority over the admissions criteria. Parents are welcome to visit the school at any time before, during or after applying for a school place. Admission to the Nursery does not guarantee a place in the Reception class.
Prospective parents are invited to visit the school on a Tuesday morning. Please call the school office to arrange an appointment.
(The Certificate of Catholic Practice should be obtained from the priest at the parish in which the family normally worship)
Completed Appeal forms should be returned to the school office by 24th May 2019. Appeals will be heard during the last week of June / first week of July 2019 and parents will be notified of the outcome in due course.
