Homework

We are trialling a new approach to homework across the whole school. This is a child-led approach to homework which promotes independence and gives children the ability to choose how they would like to develop their learning further.

Each class will have a topic-specific homework grid which will be uploaded both to Class Dojo and here at the start of each half term. ​There are several different categories and tasks under each for the children to choose from.

We would ask that at least one task is completed each week, you can upload a sheet or a photograph of your child completing it to Class Dojo to share with the class teacher. You do not need to bring anything to school.

Depending on the year group, your child's class teacher may provide additional homework each week, such as spellings, times tables, or phonics. Please do discuss this with your class teacher if you have any questions. At the end of the term, we will welcome both your and the children's feedback.
