Dear Parents/Carers,
Just wanted to inform you that Camden services for young people are open and now it’s even more crucial to ensure young people and yourself know how to access support.
Here are two useful services…….
Mental Health services
CAMHS
- CAMHS mental health service for children and young people is operational and they are taking referrals (form downloaded from the website) or call 020 8938 2241 (Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm). and there is a link to the form from Camden Rise https://www.camdenrise.co.uk/emotional-wellbeing
- Most appointments are by skype/zoom with a few face to face at the Tavistock
Kooth - Please see attachment on how to access/download.
- Kooth is now available in Camden providing a free confidential online mental health and wellbeing service to young people via any internet accessible device.
- Kooth offers young people the opportunity to have a text-based conversation with a qualified counsellor, who are available from
-12noon to 10pm on weekdays
-6pm to 10 pm at weekends
-Every day of the year on a drop-in basis.
Outside these counselling hours young people can message the Kooth team and get support by the next day.
Young people can also access booked online counselling sessions as needed.
Young people can register at www.Kooth.com The website also has resources, information and moderated peer support.
