School Celebrations, Worship and Actions for the Common Good
The spiritual life of the school is very important.
We celebrate the Eucharist both at school and at our parish Our Lady Help of Christians, Kentish Town.
Our musicians make celebrations special! We support sacramental preparation!
Each day begins and ends with PRAYER. We pray before and after meals. We practise Christian Meditation. We celebrate the great feasts, Christmas, Easter, May as Mary's month and the Feast Days of our class saints.
The annual school May Procession takes place in the Key Stage Two playground and all of the children present Our Lady with flowers. The children also gather to reflect on the Stations of the Cross, and are led in Mass by Father John.
PRAYER for ourselves and each other leads to ACTION for ourselves and each other.
And ACTION for the COMMON GOOD. Sometimes that is direct. The choir sing for the commuters at Euston. Children visit local Care Homes regularly.
And sometimes the ACTION is indirect. We raise money for local, national and international charities who HELP the POOR and NEEDY just as Jesus did.
And we don't forget that PARENTS are the FIRST EDUCATORS of their children. Our weekly PRAYER GROUP supports them and the staff!
