Spelling

 

Accurate spelling is an important part of the process of learning to write at primary school.

Learning to spell is really useful if we want our children to become confident writers.

If they’re confident spellers, they’re also much more likely to make adventurous vocabulary choices. 

 

 

After children have learned the first 100 high frequency words, they will learn the next 200 high frequency words. Once children know most of these words, they will be introduced to the Year 3/4 statutory spelling word list.
