Headteacher's Welcome

I am delighted to welcome you to St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary School. First and foremost, St. Patrick’s is a Catholic school where children are happy, confident, and enthusiastic learners. Academic standards and application to learning are excellent, and we place equal value on the development of the whole child; emotionally, socially, creatively, and spiritually. Relationships in school are strong and people are valued. St. Patrick’s is a welcoming, nurturing school, which has the unique atmosphere and unity of ‘Growing in God’s Love’ which is inspired by the life and teachings of Jesus. Our children participate in liturgy with a rich prayer life and focus on issues of social justice and our duty to care for the poor and vulnerable and in supporting the Common Good.

At St. Patrick’s, we endeavour to follow in the footsteps of Jesus so that every member of the St. Patrick’s community treats each other as they themselves would like to be treated. This leads to a safe, caring and happy community where parents, staff and governors work together to achieve the best education for every one of our children. It is also our firm belief that the relationship between home and school is vital for pupils to thrive and develop a love of learning alongside values for life.

Our vision at the school is to ensure that the needs of all our children are met in all areas of school life and that each child is given a wealth of experience and opportunities. I firmly believe in celebrating success and making sure everyone knows they are loved by God, and here at St. Patrick’s, we have a fantastic staff who have the enthusiasm and drive to ensure that this happens across the school.

We are a Roman Catholic Voluntary Aided school in the trusteeship of the Archdiocese of Westminster. The school serves families in the parish of Our Lady, Help of Christians, Kentish Town and beyond. We are an inclusive school, reflecting the rich diversity of families. St. Patrick’s is a thriving school dedicated to the success of its children. We provide full-time education for 236 boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 11 years. Our pupils then transfer to secondary schools such as Maria Fidelis, La-Sainte Union, Finchley Catholic High, St. Michael's Grammar School for Girls, Cardinal Vaughan, Camden School for Girls and William Ellis.
